Senior Services Coordinator
Williamsburg Area Faith in Action’s (WFIA) mission is to help seniors age safely in their homes by providing transportation and other support services. WFIA is a strong social network matching people willing to help those who need it. Services include transportation, grocery shopping, visiting, caregiver support, household chores, well-check calls, yard work and more.
The Senior Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating support services between volunteers and care receivers. The coordinator will work closely with other program staff.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and attention to detail required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient computer skills are necessary, including Excel, word processing, etc.
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive rapport with volunteers, senior clients, colleagues, and superiors.
Responsibilities:
- Performs preliminary screening to determine client eligibility.
- Conducts client assessments.
- Enters client data and updates to the program database.
- Respond to requests for service and general inquiries.
- Scheduling of clients’ in-home service requests.
- Ensure responsibility for running and maintaining scheduling software program.
- Collecting program data and completion of reports.
- Assisting with transportation when necessary.
- Performance of other duties, as assigned, related to the qualifications and requirements of the job.
Qualifications:
A minimum of one (1) years’ experience working with the senior population is preferred. Proficient in the use of Assisted Rides Scheduling Software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of general office duties, strong telephone skills & etiquette.

- Establish, maintain, and grow effective working relationships with care receivers, volunteers and co-workers.
- The ability to identify, recommend and or resolve problems as they arise.
This position is part-time, M-F, 35 hours per week. Benefits include paid time off including ten holidays.
