Join us as a Team Leader for our upcoming Home Repair Blitz event in James City County. The Home Repair Blitz is a single-day event where 8-20 homes in a designated neighborhood receive exterior home repairs for a nominal fee and volunteer work from 100-300 volunteers. Habitat for Humanity PGW has been organizing these events with our city partners for years, serving nearly 500 residents in our community. 

We need SKILLED volunteers to work as Team Leaders as we assist veteran, low-income, elderly or disabled homeowners with: 

- exterior carpentry (replace hand rails, porches, stairs, ramps, etc.) 

- house & siding painting 

- other minor exterior repairs (steps, gutters, fence) 

- safety-related improvements 

Each Team Leader will "adopt" a house, and oversee the projects and volunteers on that home. Team Leaders will generally commit at least 5-6 hours of prep time prior to the event and also commit all day of the event or the proposed rain date at his or her pre-selected home. Team Leaders should aim to be available on the dates listed below.

- Neighborhood: Clark Ln/Old Mooretown Rd 

- Blitz Date: April 26th, 2025 (Rain date - May 3rd, 2025) 

- 1st Team Leader Meeting: March 25th, 2025 @6PM - Location: JCC Department of Social Services (5249 Olde Towne Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188)
