🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

I'm thrilled to announce my very first art exhibition, "Sankofa: Harvesting the Bray School Legacy" where I’m showcasing a series of artworks inspired by the history of the Williamsburg Bray School! 🎨✨ 

The art exhibition aimed to raise awareness about Williamsburg Bray School's rich history and legacy. As I learned about the Bray School and the descendants' community perspective on slavery interpretation, I became eager to share their empowering voices and raise awareness of past and current social inequalities. I’m so grateful to share this journey with all of you and highlight a piece of history recently rediscovered and rewritten by the Descendent Community members, the Bray Lab from W&M, and Colonial Williamsburg. 

This art exhibition invites our residents to read more about the Bray School's history and how its legacy changed America’s history into an inclusive, multi-layered story. 

The artwork sales will support the following initiatives: 

- 20% will be donated to WCAC, our non-profit educational art center organization. (https://visitwcac.org/) 

- 80% will be donated to the Village Initiative - an organization dedicated to equity and justice in the Williamsburg-James City County Schools and community. (https://www.villagewjcc.org/)
