Colonial Behavioral Health - Prevention Services is proud to offer a FREE Mental Health First Aid – Youth training on Wednesday, October 29 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, lunch is provided.

WHY YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID? Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18.
The course will teach you how to apply the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE): • Assess for risk of suicide or harm • Listen nonjudgmentally. • Give reassurance and information • Encourage appropriate professional help • Encourage self-help and other support strategies.
WHO SHOULD KNOW MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID? • Teachers, School Staff, Coaches, Camp Counselors, Youth Group Leaders, Parents, Adults who Work with Youth.
