Description
We open with the soul-stirring melodies of the Native American flute from the legendary R. Carlos Nakai. Honoring local history, we present 'Tewe:iahle' We Remember by GRAMMY©-nominated composer Dawn Avery, featuring Leah Glenn Dance Theatre. This unique collaboration celebrates the indigenous peoples who attended this school and inhabited the land that is now part of the campus of William & Mary.
The season draws to a dramatic close with Dvorak’s beloved “New World Symphony,” overflowing with influences from European, African American, and Native American musical traditions. Join us for a concert that celebrates cultural heritage and the universal language of music that unites us all.
